“Participants will use the scientific method and household items to explore acids and bases. Participants will be provided with worksheets and instructions on how to do this experiment at home.

Presenting pH uses the scientific method to introduce participants to the colorful world of pH with simple acid and base chemistry. Ever wonder why milk calms your stomach after eating spicy food? Do you want to test the acidity of your water at home? Come join local scientists and learn how to use cabbage juice to pH test various at-home items! A demonstration AND active hands-on experiment will be provided for attendees.

Participants will be provided with worksheets to take home and instructions on how to do this experiment at home.

This program is intended for kids ages 9-18, and 6-8 with an adult.
